Summer 2011

So sorry not to have been in touch for so long!

Hope you all had a wonderful time over the holiday weekends – We certainly did!!

Sun shining, ducklings hatching and we opened our new ‘Secret Garden’!

It is a tranquil space for all our guests to wander through. We have also opened up our pretty ‘Knot Garden’. Both the new garden areas are accessible through our quirky new gate constructed from a giant metal cob-web (complete with spider!) and trailing ivy leaves – just wonderful - the gate has been designed and made by family friend Julian Bailey. Julian has been instrumental in opening up the new areas of the garden, he is incredibly creative and has also constructed a ‘Monet’ style bridge and is in the process of reinstating the Victorian swimming pool (as a pond) complete with fountains and lion heads. We hope to have the ponds decked ‘viewing area’ completed by June of this year.

We are currently adding more and more sculptures and artwork to the garden. The newest addition is a 100 year old ash stump which has been contributed by local artist Rob Dyer. Rob uses the natural form of trees to create his sculptures and we hope to display more work from him in the near future!

As our exhibitors have grown over the last year, we have also decided to create ‘The Mill Art Walk’ a mini tour around our grounds which details the pieces we are exhibiting and the artists who have kindly contributed them

We hope you can come and see for yourself  (you may even spot the king fisher!!)

Kindest Regards

Liz and all the Crew!
