The Mill at Gordleton
A Design Intervention

The New Forest

The hotel itself is situated on the eastern edge of the New Forest, the famed hunting grounds of West Saxon Kings in the 9th Century. Saplings planted then had by later centuries grown into mighty oaks
used for the construction of English warships such as the Mary Rose and H M Victory.

Discover the less obvious sights and scenes that grace this part of the world:
- Cistercian Abbey at Beaulieu
- Slipway and country pubs around Bucklers Hard
- Villages of Sway and Brockenhurst;
- Bohemian yet bijou beach huts at Mudeford Sands;
- Bustling Yacht Havens of Lymington and the contempary yachting havens at Hamble Point and Hythe Marina

Or visit the nearby historic and beautiful cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester or the major resorts of Bournemouth or Southampton.
