“Paradise. Every detail of the hotel, restaurant bar has been well thought out…with your every detail attended to. Stunning grounds and gardens with river walks and hidden places to sit and let the world go by, great opportunity to see some amazing wildlife. The rooms are amazing in every detail. The food is stunningly good.” Review, Tripadvisor
You never know if a place will live up to the photos and reviews online but this hotel clearly does. It's incredibly charming…the bedrooms give a wonderful sense of calm and luxury. So we slept well…the food was great. As good as all of that sounds - the staff were the very best!
It was absolutely faultless - the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. It is ideal for visiting many of the locations in the New Forest and it is lovely to return to the haven to have dinner, either in the Restaurant or Bar. We will be returning to enjoy the same experience.
One of the nicest and most professionally run hotels it has been our pleasure to stay in. Nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are first class, the restaurant is surely one of the finest in Hampshire and the grounds and fabric of the building are tended to by people who obviously care a great deal about ensuring their guests enjoy a memorable experience.
There is ample outdoor space to sit and eat…and whilst doing, have the enviable views of the beautiful gardens, wonderful ornaments, blue tits, chaffinches, wrens swinging on hanging food trays, masses of daffodils and other spring flowers and the sweet sound of birds singing, but out of sight. Inside is just as wonderful.
Beautifully decorated and furnished, so tasteful. The service was exemplary and we were made to feel totally pampered, which added to the enjoyment of our lunch. The food was excellent and we ended with an orange cheesecake which sent us into seventh heaven!
